Gzshel is a big district in the Moscow region, consisting of 27 villages. And this is one of the traditional centers of ceramic production. Until the middle of the XVIII century they made pottery ware, brick, tile, as well as toys and ornamental figurines in Russian style. Miniature white horses and horsemen, birds and dolls, tiny ware were painted with lilac, yellow, blue and brown colors in an original folk style with ornamental flowers, leafs and grass. From the 20s of the XIXth century many articles were painted only with blue color.
Especially for our shop in one of the factories of Gzshel in the Moscow region souvenirs with Samara and the Samara region symbols are made.
